This thread is in remembrance of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.  THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL THREAD.  Do not turn it into one.
It is Remembrance Day here in Canada, and Veteran's Day in the USA.  Please just stop and take a minute to remember why we are able to live in a free country.

I'd like to give a big thanks to Cpl. Riley Baker. He was my middle brothers good friend, Marine platoon leader, and was killed in Iraq on his 3rd tour while pursuing an enemy through a doorway rigged with an explosive. I did not know him that well, only met him a handful of times but he smiled alot and was adored by all of his friends and family. Thank you Riley for your service and dedication, because of what you and your brothers have done and will continue to do my family can wake up every morning and live comfortably in the freedom in which you gave your life to provide.

For my grandfather, who wishes he didn't remember.

I'd like to post this video I made yesterday for Rememberance Day in honour of all those that gave their lives in order for us to have the life we are having now.  I would have posted it yesterday but Youtube was being a bitch and wouldn't process it in time.  The song is from my uncles old band and family friends, Stormwatch, who wrote this about a young man going off to war.

Thank you to all who have served, are currently serving, and those who will serve.

I know what you're thinking, 'cause right now I'm thinking the same thing. Actually, I've been thinking it ever since I got here: Why oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill?
