Well, normally I wont share any studio info for fear of over speculation and analyzation (yes, there's another thread in the Forum with 21 pages of people talking about mine and JP's hair based on Jordan's studio diary!)....

But I felt the need to share this excitement with y'all:

Today I finished my drum tracks for the new Dream Theater album!

And as I normally never give away song descriptions, titles, lengths, etc....I will say just this:

Imagine a DT album with A Change Of Seasons, Octavarium, Learning To Live, Pull Me Under and The Glass Prison....all on one album....

COULD YOU HANDLE IT?HuhHuh

Excited?
I sure am!!!!

Happy Turkey Day Everybody,
MP

I'm curious to see what he actually meant by that. If he was talking about the vibe and the style of the songs, or that he really meant that the album has 2 long epics, one more metal and one more proggy, two other standard metal / prog songs, and the end of the AA saga which will be as heavy as The Glass Prison...

Well, can't wait anyway to hear from the guys again, even if I just liked (but not loved) Systematic Chaos, I'm still in love with them and I always leave their live shows waiting for the next time already. I just hope that the dudleduledulewhawhawha solo sections that plagued songs like The Ministry of Lost Souls (otherwise a great and awesome song) and The Dark Eternal Knight (silly song anyway) won't raise their head once more in this disc, making it 15 minutes longer than necessary....

Mike Portnoy recalling their first impression about James: Pulled out his picture and he had the look we were looking for. "Wow, this guy's really good-looking too, man." You know, he had a great voice and he looked good.. "He must be an asshole."

Shocked 2nd all-time favourite dT song ever  - only just behind Learning To Live. Shocked

So this album WILL have an F# haha  Tongue Oh unless he's just talking about the drum tracks.

A change of Seasons A- (original version lyrics and guitar was better imo)
Octavarium B-
Learning To Live A+
Pull Me Under B-
The Glass Prison B+

Either way I am very interested to hear it.
