I'm in downtown Asheville now, right down the street from the venue. Checking out downtown, a sighting would be too cool, but highly doubtful. Hopefully a better crowd tonight than the lame-o's at the Clearwater show!!

I once heard a description of Dream Theater's music as putting Rush, Pink Floyd, & Metallica in a microwave and turning it on high.

That's pretty accurate, in my opinion.

Almost looks like they're alternating the 2 setlists. I wouldn't mind if they slipped in just one different song though!! Wink

Yeah, I know, "never enough".

Hey, there's a idea!! Grin

I saw DT perform Tues night in Atlanta. It was my first time seeing them, and I still can't believe how much fun it was, and how memorable it was getting to meet all of the guys before their set! I even saw myself on one of Jordan's Youtube video uploads!

Here's a few of my pics.

James

Jordan's iPhone solo!

JP's godlike solo during "The Count Of Tuscany"

Guitar & Zen Riffer

JP got really close for this one

Awesome pics, JPM!! I'm still waiting for mine from this past weekend.

Now the Asheville show -

INCREDIBLE SHOW, INCREDIBLE AUDIENCE!!!!!!

Asheville, you definitely ROCK!! Clearwater should take some tips from you!!

Setlist -

ANTR
Constant Motion YESSSSSSSS!! What was I just saying about adding in a different song?!
Beyond This Life(I swear I was going to lose it last night!! Grin) When James said "something from SFAM", I didn't care what it was!!
HY
Erotomania(something happened during this, at first, it sounded like JP's guitar went out, but then they all started to kinda stop playing. Then they were laughing about something, I think the fact that they messed up. Mike went into a short drum solo which got the crowd going-you really couldn't get them anymore "going" than they were!! Then they jumped right back into it. This shows what professionals they are, and also shows their fans they're only human)
then
Voices, of course, with James' vocals being amazing as always Wink
TCOT

Encore
Metropolis

Speaking of the audience again, all of us stayed standing through the whole show. I loved it!! 3 young guys, 2 rows right in front of me, were so into the show, they were amusing to watch.

Donna & I talked recently of females at DT concerts, the bored & clueless ones. There were 2 females in particular last night, in the row in front of me at the end, and another 2 rows in front of me, you can definitely tell they were DT fans, and that was great to see!!
