Not real excited about Trivium and was pretty surprised when their lead singer mentioned this in an interview...but hopefully their new album will change my mind.

in areas like mine (the Pacific North West) for DT to get a venue of decent size seems to happen once every 6 years... if there is a chance for some of us to see them live again it'll have to be with some other band that might be viewed as "important."

Back during the Prog Nation 08 Tour, The State of Oregon's Live Nation said Dream Theater was "not a big enough band to be worth scheduling a venue in the state." and they had it posted on their site. There was this "ask Live nation a question" section and when you asked them about DT that was the answer. It's frustrating. So for me... I'll take DT anyway I can see them.

Today UK first gig. I wonder if James sings with Eden's Curse, No Holy Man.

Dream Theater were amazing in Wolverhampton last night. Just full of energy and good vibes. Mangini is the man, no question...! James sounded fantastic - thanks for a great night...!

Isn't it amazing how pretty much everyone likes Mike Mangini so much? I'm so happy for him and Dream Theater, it seems to be working perfectly for them so far

I was afraid that MP's unconditional fans would give him some sort of shows of disaffection, but I'm happy to see he has been so well accepted by the audiences everywhere. I think the documentary paved the way for such a reaction, so in the end it was a good move that we spent so long not knowing who the drummer was.

Damn, I spend my time searching for bootlegs on Youtube every time a gig is done. 10 days left till the concert, but I'm afraid I'll die of excitement before I see them! : D

Can I just say that I love how they've constructed a setlist that has a song from each of their studio releases? Brilliant. Trying to give the fans a taste of everything they've been through the years and throwing On The Backs of Angels in there for good measure. Great job, guys!!
