Nice that you had a good time. I'm wondering how he played the songs, did he stick to the original parts? I heard that they would also use a different set of lights, how was that?

I remember he added something to the original drum parts, little changes here and there.. just his personal touch Wink And for the light show it was nothing different from the other tours.. enjoyable Smiley

We were in Rome. The concert was fantastic; I'm absolutely overwhelmed and full of admiration for the musicians of this unique band. John Petruccis guitar play is so gorgeous; we stood there and watched in amazement ... James LaBRie's vocal performance was absolutely stunning, breathtaking, brilliant I'm very fond of his voice - All five musicians are brilliant ... for us it was the best concert we have ever seen. Thank you very much, Dream Theater.
We will once again see them this Saturday here in Germany, in "Loreleycity" *freu freu* Smiley

That sounds great, Diana! Did you manage to take any pictures of the concert? Would you mind sharing those with us?

Ich bin auch am Samstag auf der Loreley. Die Loreley ist nicht weit von meinem Wohnort, daher wird dies mein DT-Konzert Nr. 10!

if i remember last tour the lead up to the world tour appears to be the same for a little while. then once the world tour happens it changed. However remember that was a MP thing. who knows if the guys will continue that tradition. (we will know once the other parts of the world tour kicks off) The Dramatic World of Events Tour* <something I call the world tour so i can keep track> will hold surprises no doubt.  Smiley

heh that has suddenly made me laugh at what i've called the world tours since 8V (when i began reporting tour stops)
8V <never got a name from me sadly>
SC = Systematic World Chaos
BCSL= Black Worlds and Silver Stages
ADTE =  The Dramatic World of Events

Well, this is Mangini's first tour with DT so I wouldn't wait any changes maybe 1-2 songs.

If I recall corretly it was the same with Derek Sherinian and Jordan Rudess. When they joined the band their setlist was the same every night for a while on their tour. Plus, I don't know exactly why but they omitted Learning To Live at Zurih. I hope it is just the curfew.
