Praying your surgery is a successful one so that you can finally get back to living your life, Ash.

Maybe you can work something out with your professors to do your finals later?

Unfortunately I cannot. My only final the requires some sort of an ability to write is my Japanese final... And I have to really try and figure out what to do there.

If the other finals require typing, rather than writing, there is one possible solution. You can get this voice recognition software called Dragon NaturallySpeaking. It's actually what I use, because I can't type very much or I will aggravate my tendinitis. Here's a link: http://tinyurl.com/7q26ms5it looks like the basic version of it is on sale for about $75 right now. It's a slightly costly solution, but if it helps you out of a bind, maybe it's worth it? Wish I could offer a solution for the Japanese final…

However does Dragon support other languages such as Japanese. if it does I'd be all over it for stuff, despite the fact that I do have to write out everything for that class. but for myself it would help a lot.

I did a little research. There is a Japanese version of it http://japan.nuance.com/. But it looks like you can also get certain versions of it which support multiple languages. The best thing to do would be to call them and ask them what version you should get. You can probably find the phone number on their website. It would be really awesome if the sense of helping you!

Reading the FAQ's and it says the multi language version doesn't support Japanese but if I only have to struggle with that I'd be okay. My parents are thinking of this for me anyways. If it really helps it might be worth it.

It really will help. Like I said, I can't type much at all, and Dragon has been my savior in allowing me to still be able to use a computer. If you do end up deciding to get it, the only other consideration is that you should not use the microphone which comes in the box. It is pretty poor quality. I think the website lists some better quality headsets or Bluetooth headsets which work. You are also supposed to be able to use your iPhone as a microphone with a downloadable app. I haven't tried that out yet, but it's another possibility. But if your parents are offering the get this for you, by all means, take them up on it!

Tomorrow: Women's Giant Slalom in Aspen (USA). The Giant Slalom will take place on Saturday, November 26 and the Slalom on Sunday, November 27. The race will be broadcast live on television. *freu freu* I admire Lindsey Vonn and Maria Höfl-Riesch.

Just letting you all know I did have my surgery on the 30th. Just checking in, and letting everyone know the w34vi1 is still alive, just down to one wing.
I'll update when I feel up to sitting at a computer for more then 5 min.
