No tickets for me....seems the tickets have all been sold to resellers who are doubling and tripling ticket prices.  Missed out on the presale, but I'm sorry, even for seeing one of my favorite bands, $155.00 a ticket and up is just to much.  I thought scalping was illegal, but apparently it is not and is endorsed by the theater.....there are about 20 sites selling tickets are hugely inflated prices.  Guess that means I miss out...... Sad

Anyone know the presale code for Chicago?  Can't find any tickets that don't require a code.....thanks!

5  General Category / General Music Chat / A few pics from Milwaukee 4-6-14 show on: April 07, 2014, 04:31:06 pm
HI All...had GREAT front row center seats to DT last night...thought I'd share a few pics of the event.....great show.  Thanks DT!!

Saw DT last night in Milwaukee.....despite the microphone being off more than once, the really weird sounds coming from Jordan's keyboard and possibly a few other mishaps, it was a GREAT show!!  We had the good fortune to be sitting front row center....injury prevented me from standing for the duration of the show, but that did NOT impede my enjoyment one bit!!!  (I suspect the people behind us were rather happy too, as their view was unobstructed).  When James was on top of the monitor and singing, we could hear his voice - not the miked version, and it was a real treat!  James continues to amaze me with his control and scope in his singing!   JP was often right in front of us.....literally so close if I had been standing I could have reached out and strummed his guitar, and that was really fun to see him play up so close!  JM and JR came forward as well and again, such a treat to see all of these virtuoso musicians doing what they do so well!  Our view of MM was stellar, and it was fun watching him and trying to understand his fill sequences and the time signatures.   The intermission video was hilarious.....and the other treats of the night delightful!   THANKS to Dream Theater for once again taking us away from the reality of life and letting us live in your world for an evening!   And James - Damn DT - 3:00 am rolled around and you were right!!!!    Also enjoyed the little look and laugh at the guys next to me during Finally Free........the look on JLB's face with what was happening in the audience was priceless!    I do LOVE this band's music!!!

I have not listened to an album that I love so much from the very beginning in a long time......Illumination Theory is fast becoming a new favorite...I love the maturity of the music and lyrics.  Epic!!

WOW!!!Loving this album....what do the rest of you think??  I still like Say You're Still Mine, but then I do not care for growling vocals, in any shape or form.  Regardless of that dislike, the album ROCKS and I am really enjoying it!!   Smiley
