I have seen these guys 4 times in the past year and a half.  When they played here in Feb, I talked with Jordan and he was pretty jazzed about the possibility of a European tour.  Since they're heading back out on the road, it seems that this might have fallen through.
The road life is tough (playing a show and literally taking turns driving all night to the next).
Jordan was the only guy on stage that didn't look like he was doing his taxes, so I hope the new guy fills the energy void.
Scale the Summit is one of my favorite bands, so I am a bit bummed out about this.
I will definitely see them in June.

The guys do clean up nice.  Very cool picture.  I'm proud of them for getting nominated and attending.  A lot of bands would just blow it off if they were on tour in Europe.  Given the history of award winners, they had to know they were very long shots at best for a win.
Just glad they went and enjoyed it.
Major kudos to Cap'n and the rest of the crew!

6:00 was a shocker to see in the setlist.  I soooo hope they do another North American leg so I can see this.  I would prefer the Helsinki setlist.  Amazing....

I highly recommend that anyone in the US check to see if Scale the Summit's first ever headlining tour is hitting a city near you.
I've got my ticket for Feb 6 in Denver.  They will be sure to deliver 80 minutes of progressive instrumental rock excellence.

Oh how I'd love to leave all responsibilities behind and go check out DT in Japan...
I guess I'll just have to wallow in reality and hope for a 2012 summer tour in the US.

Very much looking forward to this release, and hopefully a tour this time.   Captain, make sure they get the visas in order this time or make 'em walk the plank!

I idiotically forgot one of my favorite releases of 2011.  I have listened to it so much, that I thought it was a late 2010 release!!

Scale the Summit - The Collective....easily my #2 for 2011

I'll check out some of the others on the lists above.  My top 5:

5)  Steven Wilson - Grace For Drowning
4)  The Anabasis - Back from Being Gone
3)  Neal Morse - Testimony 2
2)  Opeth - Heritage
1)  Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turn of Events

Favorite concerts:
6)  Animals as Leaders (Dead Letter Circus also kicked ass at this show)
5)  Scale the Summit (saw them 4 times opening for different acts...they are an amazing live act)
4)  Adrenaline Mob (didn't love the EP that they released, but an unforgetably awesome show)
3)  Opeth
2)  Neal Morse Band
1)  Dream Theater

(due to an extended vacation to New Zealand & Australia, I missed the 2011 Time Machine tour of Rush.  This is the first leg of a tour that I have missed in 30 years!)

O.K., damn you Live Nation!!!  That made me feel better.
I was lucky enough to fly to SLC to see that show, but my son & wife missed out.
I'm anxiously awaiting for James and the others to blow my mind away again!

Agree 1000%.  James blew me away earlier in the tour, particularly with the two acoustic songs.  Although I'm holding a slight grudge against the fellows for not coming to Colorado!

I thought they might be mixing up the setlist on this "mini extension".  Had they really mixed it up, I had considered making the trip to AZ.  Once I saw it was basically the same, I decided not to go (although I still would have loved it!).
