A cute little girl goes to a pet store. 'Do you have a rabbit?' she asks.
The pet store owner drops to his knees so he can see eye to eye with the little girl and tells her:
'Of course do I have rabbits. What would you like, a black one, a brown one, or a black one with white ears.'

The girls looks at him: 'I don't think my python cares'.

Oh man. When I saw you had replied I had a feeling she'd passed away. But she fulfilled her last wish, and that is a great accomplishment!!!

Oh my god. I cannot express how happy I am for your mother. She must have been absolutely touched. I am so sorry to here she is probably going to a hospice, but she will live out the rest of her days in peace now.I knew that James would definitely respond! Wow...I am so happy for her...let her live out her final days in as much peace and happiness as humanly possible. Be there for her more than you ever have now....wow...I just cannot express how lucky she is that of all the people she could have wanted a message from, it was someone as good-hearted as James...what a great end to life...tell her I send my love....

Firstly I am so sorry about your mother and I felt really sad reading this. My first advice is to make a Twitter account and contact Piretecjs (James), Jcrudess (Jordan) and JPetrucci (JP) about it. Jordan is on Twitter most often so maybe ask him to pass along the request. You may get no more than just a quick tweet from them to your mom as they are busy men but I'm sure it would mean a lot to her anyway.
Your mom has great taste in music, by the way Smiley

OH HO..I kinda still freaked and freezed up a bit...No I didn't say I freaked out about his hair...maybe he remembers! hahaha! It has grown out so fast, and you can tell he will just keep growing it non-stop like he did after 1998. He was already doing the classic hair flips last night!

It was SOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT at the theater/venue last night. I told a buddy I met there(after the Trivium set) that I can guarantee James will make a joke about it. Sure enough, James did. He came out with his gothic trench on, for the first 2 songs. After 'These Walls' he took the coat off and  then said," WHEW! All I could think about during that last song when can I take that fucking coat off! I am half Canadian and half penguin so both together to NOT bode well."

James spoke to the audience SEVERAL times, which I have never seen him do(also danced and thrashed like 4 times more than I have ever seen him do, and was constantly pumping up the audience). It was fantastic, I really feel he is the front man of the band more than ever before. He has trimmed down some more and looks extremely healthy. Which is A LOT more than you can possibly say about other lead singers/ frontmen of bands going on for the same amount of time as Dream Theater. And his voice last night was so crystal clear and so perfect it was just awe inspiring. I never think of James as 'old', but seriously, what other singer at his age and that has been going NO STOP from day one, has not only that kind of range in their voice, but that much POWER and that much growth in their voice? The answer is simple: NO ONE. Yeah yeah, I may sound like a brainwashed James lover fan-boy(which yes ok it's true, haha) But I listen to pretty much every metal band out there; especially the operatic vocalist ones. There just is not another frontman of his calibre. And he proved it last night a thousand fold.
I wouldn’t imagine you would bring it up, that would be slightly awkward, lol. Grin

Oh no, it was hot in BOSTON?? God, it’s going to be face-melting in Florida!

James has been interacting with the crowd so much lately; it really makes a huge difference. He’s definitely one-of-a-kind...

Does he know you as the one who flipped out when he cut his hair??  Tongue
OK...I kinda freaked too...but it looks nice now  Grin

Glad you had a great time! Sounds awesome  Cheesy if I met James, I would freeze up and die...kudos for holding yourself together!

It's still the 4th here!

I'll be celebrating your birthday a day late, lol. Your birthday is on the same day (well, here in Florida anyway) that I'm getting my South Carolina Corn snake pair...will be an extremely exciting day! (Especially since the female is gonna have babies soon!)

True, but having a good knowing of an animal is the first step to the curing of a phobia.

Hey, as a true snake lover, I always seize the opportunity to educate people about my little scaly friends!

Spheksophobia - Fear of wasps
Apiphobia/melissophobia - fear of bees

Second to that. I'm allergic to wasps, so their stung twice horrible for me.

Herpetophobia - fear of snakes. In fact, I'm afraid of all poison animals or insects.

Actually, most snakes aren't poisonous. Actually, no snakes are poisonous. Or any animals for that matter.
"Poison" is a broad term describing a toxin that is consumed, or absorbed through the skin. "Venom" is a toxin that is injected into you via a stinger, fangs, barb, etc. So thus, all animals (excluding Poison Arrow Frogs) that carry these toxins are indeed venomous, not poisonous. Along with this, only 20% of all snakes have any  venom. These 20% are reluctant to bite. After all, none grow long enough to eat a human, so why should they waste venom on you? If you take your precautions, a snakebite is a very rare occurance. Babies are more prone to biting, since they are smaller, thus having to watch out for more predators than the larger adults. They also are less experienced, and they will not know how to control their venom dosage, thus being more dangerous than larger venomous snakes. The venom toxinity is the same, but they normally inject more venom that the adults.

The non-venomous snakes are absolutely nothing to fear, even the ones that are large, like Burmese pythons, Reticulated pythons, Anacondas, Scrub pythons, Indian pythons, African Rock pythons, etc don't want to hurt you, they are actually very afraid of you. And I know the whole "snakes are more afraid of you than you are of them" thing is really over used, but it's very true. I myself am a keeper of 6 snakes (a corn snake, a ball python, a milk snake, a king snake, a boa and a trans pecos rat snake) and generally they are very tame. Now, my milk and king are small, thus being a bit more flightier, but my milk is calming down rapidly. My king is new and I don't handle new snakes for a period of time to avoid stress. My trans pecos is relatively aggressive, but I think that if YOU were 60% smaller than something that's trying to pick you up, you would be a bit defensive too! My corn, ball python and boa are all dog tame and are LOVED by many children. Children (especially younger ones) actually like snakes a lot more than most adults, because they are newer to the world and haven't been exposed to the sterotypical "snakes are evil, mean, slimy aggressive gross reptiles don't go near them!" agenda. Little Matea, my friend's little sis, who is only 3, loves holding the snakes. My friend's younger brother who is almost 2 loves to touch tyhem under supervision. Adults are harder to convert because they've been afraid or in dislike of the animal for so long that sometimes, you just can't change their minds. Btu you can set them at ease, which is what I aim to do.  Grin Hope this helped just a teeny bit.

Anyway, I have total Necrophobia! YUCK! Dead bodies (skeletal, rotted, smashed, or so freshly dead they could be sleeping) scare the holy crap out of me. I don't know why. I know that one day, I'll be dead. BUT I CAN'T DO IT!
Needless to say, you won't see me on rotten.com!

EDIT: holy crap! sorry, didn't mean to make an essay. Sad

Someone on YouTube made a comment about the editing. I think the video was actually done by the RnL guys who performed with Jordan on the concert. They said something about wanting to keep the interview pace "snappy" by eliminating some of the pauses. Obviously, the pace went far beyond snappy.
Replace 'snappy' with 'annoying' and it seems more acurate.
