I'm even more impressed with this guy's vocals after buying their new album today. Came out today I believe. Amazon must be getting desperate, because they're selling it for $5.99...ridiculously awesome for an hour of music.

Very nice album, I could see this guys on tour with LaBrie's solo thing or even Dream Theater. HIGHLY recommended to you guys.

I think it's a good wake-up call for the band personally...most all bands are like this nowadays, so it's good their on board with it.

Thanks Donna! I lurked here for a few weeks just to see how the new JLB solo songs from Static Impulse were being received, and figured I'd join up. Looking forward to that release as well.

I agree, the vocals took me a few listens to truly appreciate, but what really sold me is these guys, including the singer, are all 19-20, so it's a pretty good effort and I'm imagining how they'll sound in a few more years, you know?

This new album (from what I heard) almost has a Trivium vibe to it, a la 'The Crusade'. That's a big plus because that album is in my top 10 albums list, if you will.
